Servicing

Repair services

We offer pool heat pump repair services predominantly for the following brands:

Thermeau | Hayward | Moov | Summit

The service is offered on a priority basis to our customers as well as for service calls under warranty

This is one of the main advantages of doing business with us, as anyone who has needed this service at the beginning of the summer knows how difficult it can be to find someone reliable!

Troubleshooting guide

Before you call for a repair service, here is a troubleshooting guide for the most common problems.

The heat pump is leaking
This is the call we receive most often! Condensation water is normal and can be quite abundant depending on the weather conditions, especially when the water is hot and the nights are cool.

If the heat pump only leaks when it heats the water, it is only condensation and not a leak. A technician won’t be able to do anything!

Tips to make sure:

*Turn off the heat pump for several hours , letting the water circulate inside to check if it is still flowing. If it no longer flows, there is no need to worry.

*Check the water flowing from the heat pump with chlorine strips. If the water is not chlorinated…. it is only condensation and not pool water.

Fan does not start
Propeller stuck (especially in spring). Try to make it rotate with a stick
Defective fan run capacitor
Defective fan motor

Circuit breaker trips on start-up
Defective compressor run capacitor
Defective compressor
Electrical short circuit

Heat pump does not heat water
Compressor does not start
Is the exhaust air cold? If so, the heat pump is heating
The outside air may be too cold

HP Code (High Refrigerant Pressure)
99% of the time, this code appears when there is not enough water.
It is often seen in the spring when the by-pass valves are incorrectly positioned.

FLO Code (Water Pressure)
The water pressure inside the heat pump is insufficient, check the position of the by-pass valves
Try backwashing your filtration system (or clean the cartridge) to restore water pressure

F_5 Code (Defrost)
It is normal for this code to appear from time to time to defrost the heat pump.
While it is displayed, the fan should be running. If it is not, the heat pump will be defrosting almost all the time and the problem needs to be fixed.

LP Code (low refrigerant pressure)
There is a leak, and the heat pump has run out of refrigerant
The outside temperature is too low or the water is too cold
